Easy SMTP damaged my contact form :-/

Hi everybody!
I tried The plugin Easy SMTP for enabling mails to end up in a gmail mail account – which did not work and already displayed a fatal error after installing. Then I deactivated it and sind then my contact form does not work anymore. I finally deleted it and nothing changed. How can I get back to my previous status?
