I work for a foundation where we take care of endangered Hedgehogs that lost their mother, got ill or injured. In order for us to collect funds I registered a new domain and set up an auction website. Unfortunately I didn’t anticipate Gmail’s strict policy on email.
Since it was a new domain name and we were sending out around 100 emails a day our IP address ended up on a blacklist.
Without any hassle we got it off the blacklist but it took time, emails didn’t get delivered and the next day it happened again.
I created a free account at mailgun and this plugin allowed me to route all emails through their servers without any hassle.
The only issue I had was that I still had another plugin installed that routed email to our own smtp server. Eventhough the plugin was disabled WordPress didn’t send the emails to mailgun although the test email from the plugin was delivered through mailgun.
That had nothing to do with this plugin though and deleting the other SMTP plugin everything worked flawlessly and remains working flawlessly to this day!!
We have had no problems with email delivery whatsoever and we’ve managed to raise funds to care for the Hedgehogs..
